We have a vacancy for a Clerical Officer role.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated self-starter to support our administration department. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated person who has the ability to work unsupervised and has 2 to 3 years practical experience in a similar role.


  • Handling a high volume of incoming calls to the accounts department
  • Identifying and assessing a customer’s needs to ensure they are satisfied
  • Maintaining customer records by updating account information
  • Keeping track of customer accounts to identify outstanding debts
  • Planning a course of action to recover outstanding payments
  • Locating and contacting debtors to inquire of their payment status
  • Payment collection and processing
  • Resolution of customer accounts queries
  • Customer account reconciliation
  • General administrative support to the Accounts and Management teams
  • Maintain and administer health and safety records


  • Account management and payment processing experience is essential
  • At least 2 to 3 years of practical experience in an office environment
  • Excellent administration skills and an ability to prioritise work
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Previous knowledge/experience of accounts software and systems
  • Proficient computer skills with a strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Excellent organisational/time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and use own initiative
  • Strong attention to detail
